One of Eliot Gelwan’s anonymous commenters, apparently a blogger, seems to think so and Eliot (of Follow Me Here) responds. His comment thread raises many questions about what is appropriate content for a medical web log aggregator.
I’ll give my take, starting with a disclaimer. Although I took passing notice of this very thing several days before in my Sunday musings post (And has political content filled a vacuum created by a dearth of medical posting? Maybe it’s all my imagination) I am not the anonymous commenter. I’ve made abundantly clear my concern for the risks of mixing politics with science, but with particular reference to scholarly medical journals. The medical blogosphere has been useful for discussing the interface between medicine and public issues such as malpractice and healthcare policy.
The commenter-blogger has submitted his complaints to Jacob Reider, administrator of Medlogs. I suspect Jacob will, appropriately in my opinion, err on the side of avoiding censorship. That said, I hope Medlogs doesn’t devolve into a forum for gratuitous Bush-bashing.

The Bush-bashing is not gratuitous, IMHO.
It is, however, a tiresome.
