Aortic stenosis and intestinal angiodysplasia (Heyde Syndrome): Fact or myth?

Although the subject of controversy, the association is probably real. Moreover, AS appears to cause a coagulopathy resembling vWD-2a.

    I had seen one case with Severe ASA and thrombocyopenia.
    She had Minor GI bleeding.
    I lost contact now.
    HoWever, I read this syndrome was first described in NEJM in ~ 1950. The coagulopathy is called secondary Von Willebrand syndrome or type II.
